Holiday Tree Festival:
-Make sure you have put your posters up!
-Please know how important it is that you get your donations in! Out of almost 400 businesses that were assigned we only have about 60 donations. We are seeing the impact that the economy is having on our donors, as they are not giving as they have in the past. This is why it is vital for you to work hard to get what you can from your assigned businesses and/or others that you may think of. Please contact us before the next meeting to let us know what you have.
-Do not turn in a donation without a completed donation form to accompany it. If you have silent auction items, please list the estimated value, as well.

October Newsletter
October is always a busy month for TWC. Celebration Village will be October 21-24. New Members will be lending a hand as greeters and ticket takers. We also have a wonderful opportunity to promote Holiday Tree Festival at this event. Members will need to sign-up at the October meeting to help man this booth.
Aletha, Andrea and Jamie have already been working long hours on Holiday Tree Festival. Please remember that this is our ONLY fundraiser of the year and the success of this event depends on every member’s participation. Get out in the community and collect your donations as soon as possible.
The McDougal Center committee will help with a field trip to the bowling alley and host a Fall Carnival this month. Betsy Parrott has been working with teachers to make this a very special time for the students. All members are invited to help the committee with these events. The more hands the better!
I will see you all at the next meeting on October 15! As always, thank you for all your hard work and dedication,
Mary Stewart
Also, if anyone knows of a musician (piano, violin ,harp), please let us know.

September 2009
The year has gotten off to a fabulous start! It was great to see all of you who were present at the August meeting. If you were unable to attend, you will need to pick up your notebook at the next meeting. Also, please remember to pay your dues if you haven't already.
This is the time of year when each member's contribution is the key to success for the Holiday Tree Festival. Aletha, Andrea, and Jamie are working hard, and they are depending on each of us to solicit donations. Most of the money made each year at HTF comes from our generous donors, so let's get a jump start to make this year the most successful HTF yet!
As we mention at the previous meeting, we have been given a wonderful opportunity to have a booth at the Sanctuary Hospice’s House’s fundraiser,Celebration Village (October 21-24). This will allow us to further promote HTF by wearing our new t-shirts and selling raffle tickets. However, we have been asked in return to provide support at the entrances during Celebration Village. This is in addition to the usual duties that the New Members perform. So, please come prepared in September to sign-up to assist this wonderful cause!
For those of you who know that you will miss more than the two excused absences this fall (teachers, etc), please consider working at Celebration Village extra hours in order to make up for your excused missed meetings. Remember you will need to work one hands-on hour for every excused missed meeting. Your volunteer hour will need to be approved by myself and Louise Gable.
Thank you all for your dedication to TWC! I look forward to seeing you all at the next meeting on September 17!
